Delegate Registration
by Local Presidents ONLY

Your local delegate allowance is listed on the online registration form next to your identified local.

If you do not have internet access, please contact Elizabeth Martinez (505) 982-1916, to obtain a paper registration form.

Follow the online registration form instructions/prompts by selecting your name, Local, and the number of allotted delegates you plan to register. Also, you'll need the address, membership type, ethnicity, and email address for each delegate. Register each delegate by clicking on the check box at the bottom of each registration form.  Deadline to register:  October 19, 2011

What is Delegate Council?

Our Delegate Council meeting is the governing body of NEA-NM. Members of the Delegate Council are to be elected in accordance with the one-person-one-vote principle and are elected by secret ballot from each local at the ratio of 1:25 Active members. Certification forms are filled out online by the local president. Certification forms in paper format are available for local presidents approximately two months prior to council. The Delegate Council establishes Association policies and objectives. The Council meets annually.  Delegates at the Council act on several items, including approval of any changes to the Resolutions of NEA-NM, approval of our legislative goals and platform for the coming year, recognition of the recipients of NEA-NM awards, elects At-Large NEA-NM ESP Board Members and any other items on the Council agenda or new business items brought up by the delegates. Additionally, the council meeting allows time for the delegates to network and share their successes with the whole state.
